Former striker Javier Saviola has revealed he saw Lamine Yamal’s potential shine when he was just 15 when he was working as Barcelona’s Under-19 assistant coach.

‘What impressed us the most, apart from his football skills, was his incredible personality. At the age of 15, he was already playing for Juveni A, playing against U19s, but he still stood out.’

Saviola also talked about other Barcelona academy talents who showed exceptional talent alongside Yamal. He even went on to hail Xavi Hernandez for his keen eye.
